SINGAPORE: The pre-parade segment at this year's National Day Parade is expected to be a multi-sensory experience, with performances on land, sea and air.
A group of wheelchair-bound performers will also be part of this segment, which has been named 'Sparkles of Singapore'.
Other highlights include a pyrotechnics symphony and a four-minute Bay Show with jet skis, stunt kites and powerboats.
The Singapore Armed Forces' Red Lions will also return with a military freefall display.
Set against the city skyline and coming together in a dazzling light, water and audio-visual spectacle, the parade proper will comprise of three acts - 'Search! Pioneers of a New Age', 'Sense! Artists of a New Landscape' and 'Spring! Creators of a New World'.
These will culminate in the grand finale, entitled 'Shine! Singapore Spirit'.
