SINGAPORE: Over 10,000 people turned up to catch Singapore's first Night Festival on Friday evening.
The skies came alive with aerial acrobatics by Italian arts group Studio Festi, which is performing in Singapore for the first time.
Performers lifted huge helium spheres more than 50 metres into the sky above the National Museum.
The show, called ‘The Dancing Sky’, is part of Singapore's plan to add buzz to its nightlife.
"This will get people to go for outings and gatherings," said a member of the public.
Another said: "It's another avenue, instead of going to the movies or to dinner. (The performance) is really good."
Studio Festi will perform again at the National Museum on Saturday evening at 9pm and 11pm. The show will be staged at the Singapore Management University the next weekend. - CNA/vm/ls
