SINGAPORE : Your air-conditioning breaks down; your plumbing is choked; your car will not start.

Now, there is a one-stop digital directory — OneGuide — with a whole lot of listings that can help you solve all these problems and more. Hosted on the newly-revamped classifieds portal mocca.com at oneguide.mocca.com, this latest offering from media giant MediaCorp is meant to be Singapore’s most authoritative digital directory for local products, services and business resources.

OneGuide offers users a highly intuitive search tool that is akin to a personal digital concierge. With its single digital gateway, consumers and businesses can access powerpacked and highly user-friendly features such as satellite maps, product comparison, even transacted property prices without wasting time traversing the World Wide Web.

“With in-depth consumer insights and feedback acquired since the successful launch of mocca, we believe that the newly evolved mocca with OneGuide is what the Internet community wants — one single touch point or rather what we call a single click point,” said Mr Timothy Goh, vice-president New Media Business and Customer Relationship Management. “If you are looking for the perfect home, mocca gives you a host of comprehensive information to make a well-informed purchase, like satellite maps of the area, property trends of transacted prices, to even the schools in the vicinity.”

The site also boasts a social networking element which allows users to create online communities and interest groups drawn from the variety of products and services being marketed on mocca.com. For example, potential car buyers can start an online community group on their choice picks and get a discussion group going, starting next month.

Adding to the buzz, the marketing campaign to promote OneGuide “promises to be even more enticing than the “muscle man and his “matching pipes” from last year, revealed Ms Florence Lian, MediaCorp’s head of corporate communications and marketing. -
