SINGAPORE: The Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) has appointed Mr Edwin Pang as its new CEO.

Mr Pang, who is currently the association's deputy CEO, will assume office on September 1.

He takes over from Mr Kelvin Ng who has held that post since April 2007.

Prior to joining SBA, Mr Pang was assistant director of the Youth and Family Development units at the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

SBA said Mr Pang's immediate priority is to focus on preparing the badminton team for the 2012 Olympics. - CNA/vm
