SINGAPORE: MediaCorp actor Chew Chor Meng said on Wednesday he is thankful for all the support received since news that he has muscular dystrophy became public last week.
Many of his friends and fans had gone on social networking website Facebook to give him moral support.
Chew was diagnosed with the terminal disease in September, but only announced it at a church event last week. The rare genetic disease is incurable and causes progressive muscle weakness.
Chew said he is getting on with life as normal as possible, and is staying positive on his outlook on life.
"Why moan the fact that I can't run? I'll just walk a little slower. I'll only start worrying when I can't walk anymore. I have great faith in myself. Hopefully, during the next interview, I would have recovered," said Chew.
