SINGAPORE: Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were involved in a delicate rescue operation on Wednesday when a worker in a printing firm had his finger stuck in a printing machine.

The SCDF was called in to the factory at No. 1092, Lower Delta Road at about 11am.

Upon arrival, officers found that the worker had his right index finger caught between the rollers of an industrial printing machine.

The worker's finger was released using hydraulic and grinder cutters. He was sent conscious to the Singapore General Hospital.
