SINGAPORE: With over S$1 million raised and comprehensive talent development plans announced on Monday, the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) is going all out to ensure the country will not have to wait another 50 years for its next Olympic medal.

Some 180 children from Nee Soon South PCF Kindergarten are taking part in a pilot programme, running from January to March this year.

The Singapore Table Tennis Association hopes the programme will help to identify potential paddlers at a young age.

If successful, the scheme could be extended to other PCF kindergartens. - CNA/vm
