SINGAPORE: Malaysia is keeping Singapore's authorities abreast of what it has learnt from the capture of the Republic's most wanted terrorist, Mas Selamat Kastari, said Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on Friday.

He was asked about the timeline for Mas Selamat's return to Singapore at a joint news conference at the Istana.

Mas Selamat was recaptured in Johor Bahru by the Malaysian Special Branch in April this year.

Mr Najib said: "As to when we should, or whether we should return (Mas Selamat to Singapore), I think it is a subject for us to discuss further between the two security authorities."

Singapore's Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, said: "They have been generous in sharing with us what they have discovered from the debrief of Mas Selamat Kastari, and we leave it in their hands. I am sure the matter will be resolved in good time."
