SINGAPORE: COE prices for vehicles rose sharply in all categories, except for motorcycles, in the latest bidding exercise.

The premium for commercial vehicles shot up the most, soaring S$4,273 to S$16,888.

COE for small cars 1,600cc and below increased S$1,411 to S$14,310, while that for big cars moved up S$1,961 to S$16,801.

In the open category, where the COE is used mainly for cars, the premium jumped S$2,401 to S$17,501.

The COE for motorcycles was down S$1 to S$900.
