SINGAPORE: Tampines Rovers kept up their mid-season surge to advance into second spot in the S.League table with a 2-1 victory over DPMM FC at Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday evening.
The Stags have now gone seven straight league matches without defeat, as they slashed the gap with defending champions SAFFC to seven points.
DPMM striker Shahrazen Said opened the scoring for the Bruneians un the 39th minute with a header from a corner, only for Noh Alam Shah to equalize two minutes later when he met an Aliff Shafaein cross with a powerful nodded effort of his own.
The Singapore international then clinched the win four minutes from time with another header that went in off the post, thus nudging Tampines ahead of dark horse Gombak United by a single point. - sleague.com
