SINGAPORE : The first batch of H1N1 vaccines should arrive in Singapore in a few weeks' time, Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan said on Sunday.

But Mr Khaw said there is no confirmed date yet because there is strong global demand for the jab. The supplier is working out how much to give to different countries.

So the Ministry of Health is currently planning how to roll-out the vaccinations.

Mr Khaw explained: "We are just gearing up the logistics because it is not so straightforward; when the vaccine comes, there will be a lot of people who want the jab, so you need to organise them, so we are using these last few weeks to work out all the logistics." - CNA/ms
