SINGAPORE: The 31-year-old hawker centre on Haig Road is undergoing a S$5.48m facelift under the National Environment Agency's Hawker Centres Upgrading Programme.

NEA says the upgraded hawker centre will have better ventilation and layout as well as spruced up toilets.

During the upgrading period, stallholders from the centre may apply to operate temporarily at available vacant stalls in other non-upgraded centres.

NEA says some stallholders have been successful in their application for temporary stalls.

Stallholders can look forward to resuming business in the upgraded centre in the second half of next year.
