SINGAPORE : Explore Singapore! is back for the fourth season with the theme, "I Love Museums".

The annual event, organised by the National Heritage Board (NHB), aims to engage Singaporeans of all ages to adopt museum-going as part of everyday life.

NHB's CEO, Michael Koh, said the theme of love was chosen as they hope that the simple message will evoke more emotional responses towards museums.

"What is it about the museum that makes them reflect and think about themselves - our own identity and our past? We hope through that, they will begin to love museums, love history and also learn to love themselves as Singaporeans," said Koh.

The three-week campaign, which begins from November 14, will see 20 museums carrying out over 50 activities.

Among those is an "I Love Museums" event on November 27 featuring chocolate, wine and soulful acapella at the National Museum. - CNA /ls
