SINGAPORE: Built at a cost of S$1.2 million, the Arina Stadium Waterfront is touted as the world's first and biggest temporary arena.

Located next to the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the 1,854-square-metre (sqm) facility can seat 2,000 people. It has a 340 sqm performance area and a 140 sqm video wall.

The temporary permit for the venue runs till the end of February, but the Singapore Indoor Stadium is looking to extend it further.

The first performance on its three-month calendar of events will be REVERIE: Cirque on Ice, which makes its international debut in Singapore on November 27.

Some 30 young local skaters participated in an audition on Monday for a role in one of the 37 shows.

Six will be picked to showcase their skills alongside the international cast.
