SINGAPORE: Small changes can make a big impact – that's what the National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign is encouraging Singaporeans to do as it goes big on their health, focusing on obesity.

One way of ensuring that you remain in good health is by measuring your Body Mass Index (BMI). The index is used to help classify a range of health risk categories for obesity-related diseases.

The campaign, launched at an event at Singapore Expo Hall 6B on Friday, hopes to encourage Singaporeans to shake up their daily routines by making simple lifestyle changes that will benefit their health.

Choo Lin, deputy director, Healthy Aging Division, Health Promotion Board, said: "We're actually building all these different aspects of our lives into our event. For example, we've got home zone, workplace zone, hawker zone and supermarket zone. These are all areas that touch our lives almost on a daily basis."

Visitors can also pick up specific weight management tips through exercise trial lessons and cooking demonstrations at the Expo event on Saturday.
