STB's Singapore Experience Awards honour best in customer experience

SINGAPORE: The winners of the Inaugural Singapore Experience Awards were unveiled on Monday evening, honouring those who delivered the best holistic customer experiences.

Amongst the winners for best leisure events of the year was the Singapore Sun Festival 2008 organised by IMG Artists.

The Ritz Carlton Millenia was named the Best Hotel Experience.

Under the service category, Gerald Lu from Restaurant Madam Butterfly was recognised for outstanding contribution to customer service in F&B.

A lifetime achievement award was given to Madam Kay Kuok, president of the Singapore Hotel Association.

In the special recognition category, the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix was commended for successfully staging the world's first night race and branding Singapore as a must-visit destination.

The Singapore Experience Award received more than 24,000 nominations.

28 award categories were given out by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) honouring those who delivered the best holistic customer experiences. - CNA/vm
