Blocked pipes cause water to spill over at VivoCity food court

SINGAPORE : A blocked drain pipe caused water to overflow at the entrance of a basement two food court at VivoCity on Sunday.

Some members of the public who were at the scene said the water even reached their ankles.

The affected area was cordoned off and cleaners mopped up puddles of water.

Workers at nearby restaurants in VivoCity's basement two said this is not the first time such an incident has happened.

But they said this was one of the heavier leaks, and lasted for over one hour.

Despite the problem, tenants said business was not dampened. - CNA /ls
