SINGAPORE: It may be just one brick but a little can go a long way, and the People's Association (PA) proved just that on Wednesday morning.
The prospects might have looked grey at 7am outside the PA headquarters, but staff steadily streamed in and in a matter of hours, the Lego grid was almost overflowing.
Workers even had to reuse bricks to accommodate more donations. The final result was a patchwork worth cheering about.
Tan Boon Huat, chief executive director, People's Association, said: "This 'We Are One' project is very close to the hearts of PA staff because we are champions of community bonding.
"And this is an excellent project where we bring people together to help people affected by the recession. After all, our motto is bringing people together."
