SINGAPORE: Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan will be paying a state visit to China's Suzhou and Wuxi from Monday.

Together with the Minister of State for Trade and Industry Lee Yi Shyan, Mr Khaw will lead a delegation of top businessmen and officials.

The four-day work trip is organised in conjunction with the third meeting of the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council.

The council is a bilateral cooperation platform co-chaired by Minister Khaw.

During the meetings, both sides are expected to review the cooperation initiatives which started last year and also discuss new collaboration areas for next year.

In particular, the meetings this year will include a briefing on the newly approved Jiangsu Coastal Development Plan as well as the conservation of a lake, which could open up new opportunities for Singapore businesses.
