SINGAPORE: A fund to strengthen ties between Singapore and Ireland has been launched.
The Singapore Ireland Fund will unite Irish businesses to benefit local charities.
Plenty of Irish culture was showcased at the Fund's launch gala on Saturday night.
One of the guests of honour was Chief Executive Officer of Temasek Holdings, Ms Ho Ching.
She helped to present a cheque of S$250,000 to Eden School, one of the Fund's beneficiaries.
Eden School provides an alternative education system for students with autism.
An auction in support of the Fund was also held.
