SINGAPORE: Some 150 children will be getting a taste of Spanish-style football over the next five days.

This is part of the very first camp organised by Spanish football club FC Barcelona for the region, which started at the Padang on Monday.

The young players, aged six to 14, were apprehensive at first but after some words of encouragement from President of the Football Association Zainudin Nordin, the kids let their feet do the talking.

Helping them fine tune their skills were three coaches from the famous club, which has produced world class talents such as Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
