SINGAPORE: Singapore's Minister for Education and Second Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen is in Australia for a four-day visit.
He called on Australian Defence Minister John Faulkner in Canberra on Monday.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed regional security issues that concern Singapore and Australia.
They also reaffirmed strong and broad-based defence relations between the two countries.
Dr Ng will head to Queensland n Tuesday to visit Singapore Armed Forces troops taking part in an annual military exercise. - CNA/vm
