SINGAPORE: A law scholarship has been set up in memory of Singaporean Lo Hwei Yen, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Mumbai last year.

The Lo Hwei Yen scholarship will be administered by the late Ms Lo's alma mater, the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Law.

The initial endowment has been pledged by her law firm, Stephenson Harwood. The firm said the scholarship provides a "fitting and lasting tribute to a much loved and well-respected member of the team".

It hopes that its recipients will make an enduring impression on the people around them, just as Ms Low had.

The student selected for the scholarship will receive a minimum amount of S$6,000, which will be used towards tuition fees.
