SINGAPORE: One of Singapore's largest tech fairs, SITEX, kicked off on Thursday at the Singapore Expo.

More than a thousand bargain hunters were already lining up outside the venue an hour before doors opened.

There are about 150 exhibitors this time around – a quarter fewer than last year. But organisers said that is because the exhibitors are taking up more space to show off their wares.

They are confident of beating last year's sales figure of S$45 million and are expecting some 820,000 visitors.

The fair will end on Sunday, November 29.
