SINGAPORE : About 100 pieces of art are at a shopping centre near you.

From furniture design, jewellery to contemporary art - the art pieces and installations at the Iluma shopping centre at Bugis are put up by students from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

And some are even for sale.

It is the first time an arts school and shopping centre are collaborating to bring the arts to the public.

Iluma will see different series of artwork on display over two years.

The installation is open to current students from all local arts and design institutions.

"It is a good form of exposure for them to showcase their works and for the public to be aware of their works," said Ye Ruo Shi, alumni, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. - CNA /ls
