SINGAPORE : Striking a healthy balance in old age took on a new meaning on Sunday, as a team of elderly cyclists took to the streets in a 35-kilometre road trip.

The oldest member of "Cycling Club Superstar" is 76 years old.

The group goes to great lengths to stay active in the golden years. And some of the cyclists' grandchildren also joined them on the road trip.

Organisers said the event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle for the young and old, but also a healthy relationship between generations. - CNA/ms
