SINGAPORE : The "We Are One" charity fund-raising project comes to an end on Monday, and contributors are continuing to step forward.

The initiative involving CapitaLand, LEGO Singapore and MediaCorp aims to raise S$1 million for charity.

The Young PAP joined in on Sunday, raising nearly S$4,000 to make two tiles.

And families and staff of the North East Community Development Council also lent their support, building their corner of the nation.

Teo Ser Luck, Mayor, North East CDC, said: "One of our roles is, really, to initiate and facilitate such a campaign, and I think I also want to encourage other organisations to come forward to do this." - CNA/ms
