SINGAPORE: MediaCorp has announced the appointment of Jessie Sng as Managing Director of its publishing business, starting from January.

Ms Sng is currently the Senior Vice-President, and also heads MediaCorp's Out-of-Home media division.

With over 20 years of operations and management experience, Ms Sng started her career with the Pepsico group before moving on to management positions in Telecom Equipment and Singapore Press Holdings.

Ms Sng joined the publishing arm of MediaCorp in 2004 and was promoted to Senior Vice-President Operations in 2008.

In June this year, Ms Sng concurrently headed MediaCorp's new Out-of-Home media division, providing content to the outdoor digital screens at ION Orchard and Orchard Central shopping malls.

Ms Sng said: "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to helm the publishing business for Singapore's leading media company. These are challenging times for the print industry and it is my hope that I can continue to take the publishing business beyond print, leveraging on the multi-media platforms of MediaCorp and new technologies."

Zita Ong, the current Managing Director for publishing, is leaving MediaCorp to pursue other interests.
