SINGAPORE: Japanese economic organisation Keidanren's chairman Fujio Mitarai called on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong on Wednesday at the Istana.

Keidanren aims to bring Japanese businesses together to advance the country's economy.

Mr Goh and Mr Mitarai exchanged views on the global financial crisis' impact on Asia, and Japan's role in the economic development of the region.
