SINGAPORE : Staff and patients of KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) got an early Christmas festive cheer on Friday.

These included free makeovers and skincare consultations for doctors and nurses, and sculpted balloons and ice-cream with a specially-created 'Happy Day' flavour for the hospital's young patients.

It is all thanks to global beauty brand Clinique, which celebrated its annual Happy Day at the hospital.

The company said it is doing this as a way of paying tribute to doctors and nurses who work tirelessly all year round to save and improve lives.

It is also a way of brightening the lives of patients who do not get to spend Christmas at home.

Tan Jack Thian, CEO, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, said: "The purpose is just to bring joy and happiness to everyone within the hospital - be it patients, staff, doctors, nurses, everyone in the hospital, so we are very glad to have Clinique with us here today." - CNA/ms
