SINGAPORE: Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research ( A*STAR) has added four new companies to its aerospace programme - launched in 2007 as an industry engagement initiative.

Among them, private jet manufacturer Bombardier and a Singaporean SME - Addvalue Technologies.

At the Singapore Airshow on Tuesday, A*STAR showcased some of its latest innovations, including new technology for in-flight entertainment systems where one can transfer movies onto their laptop or mobile devices while on board.

Also highlighted were improvements to the black box and ongoing research to convert algae into fuel. - CNA/de
