SINGAPORE: Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean attended the 46th Munich Security Conference in Germany, from February 5 to 7.
The Defence Ministry said the high-level conference brought together some 300 prominent policy-makers from more than 50 countries.
The main topics on the agenda included the future of European and global security, resource security, security and stability in the Middle East, the future of NATO as well as Afghanistan.
This is the eighth time that Mr Teo has attended this conference.
While in Munich, he also met a number of leaders on the sidelines of the conference, including Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei B Ivanov, Indian National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon and Governor of West Bengal M K Narayanan.
Mr Teo also met a US Congressional delegation led by Senators John McCain and Joseph Lieberman.
