SINGAPORE : It is going to be the Lunar Year of the Tiger next week, and to celebrate this, Underwater World Singapore has launched a tiger-themed exhibit of rare freshwater species.

The speedy little movers - the African Tigerfish - are known for their agility. They can grow up to 70 to 105 centimetres.

These carnivores with a hearty appetite for small fish have teeth designed to resemble knives, and are just as aggressive as their Asian counterparts.

These Asian Tigerfish are generally found in lakes and rivers in places like Indonesia and Thailand. - CNA/ms
