CNB arrests three men, seizes drugs worth over S$285,000

SINGAPORE: Central Narcotics Bureau officers have arrested three men and seized drugs worth more than S$285,000 in an operation on Tuesday.

Two suspected drug traffickers and one suspected drug abuser - between 42 and 49 years old and unemployed - were arrested in the raids in the vicinity of Geylang and Mattar Road.

Approximately 1.2 kilogrammes of heroin, 340 grammes of 'Ice', 2.8 grammes of Ketamine and 331 'Ecstasy' tablets with a total street value of more than S$285,000 were seized.

Two Singapore-registered cars and S$22,159 in cash were also seized in the operation.

The three Singaporeans will be investigated for drug-related offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act. If convicted, the two drug traffickers may face the death penalty. - CNA/de
