SINGAPORE: To help foster a better understanding of autism, Times bookstores and Pathlight School have joined hands to raise funds for Eden School, the vocational school for children with autism.
The bookstore chain will contribute a proportion of the sales proceeds of international bestselling author Jodi Picoult's latest book, House Rules, to Eden School.
The book, which will hit bookstores around the world on March 1, tells the story of Jacob Hunt, a boy with high-functioning autism.
All visitors to Times bookstores will also have a chance to pick up bookmarks specially designed by children from Singapore's first autism school, the Pathlight School.
Merchandise from Pathlight School such as T-shirts, notebooks and calendars will also be available at all Times bookstores during the charity drive.
Visitors can also donate money towards the building of Eden School.
The charity drive will be held from March 1 to May 31.
