SINGAPORE : Ministers will table three amendment Bills related to the General Election and Presidential Election in Parliament on Thursday.

Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng will move amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, while Law Minister K Shanmugam will table amendments to the Parliamentary Elections Act and Presidential Elections Act.

These come in the wake of two key announcements - the increase in the number of single-member seats from the current nine to 12, and a cooling-off day after the campaigning period, before Singaporeans cast their votes. - CNA/ms
