SINGAPORE : Over 1,700 runners and joggers turned parts of Pasir Ris Park into a sea of red on Sunday morning.
Some ran, while others chose to walk. Whatever the pace, they shared one target - to keep their hearts strong and healthy.
Heart disease accounts for the majority of deaths among women worldwide, and the event aimed to spread the word about this silent killer.
The five-kilometre run was organised as part of the North East district's first-ever district run, which attracted a total of 5,400 participants. - CNA/ms
