SINGAPORE : Some senior citizens are striking a healthy balance in life - on two wheels.

Members of the "Cycling Club Superstar" even completed a 140-kilometre trip around Singapore, with plenty of encouragement.

They want to set a glowing example for the elderly to lead an active lifestyle.

The oldest participant is 84 years old.

The team completed a 2,000-kilometre Shanghai-to-Beijing biking expedition last year.

These sprightly folks said cycling keeps them healthy and young at heart. - CNA/ms
