SINGAPORE: Three foreigners have been charged with cheating at the casino in Resorts World Sentosa.
The trio charged are Spaniard Jose Lopez Pintado, French nationals Fabrice Thierry Laurent Michel and Reynald Georges Victor Lasnel.
They allegedly placed S$3,600 worth of chips on April 3 on a winning bet in a game of roulette after the result had been declared to deceive the dealer into believing they had won S$7,200.
They pulled off a similar stunt on April 2 to cheat the casino of S$6,200.
Michel, is also accused of trying to cheat a dealer into giving him S$15,700 worth of chips on March 26 in a roulette game.
He had allegedly placed chips at two places after the result had been declared.
Lasnel was charged when he was in a hospital for check up.
The other two were charged in court.
If convicted, the men face a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine on each charge. - CNA/vm
