SINGAPORE: The Great Electronics Sale 2010 at Suntec City attracted about 30,000 people on its opening day, Friday.
A long queue had formed even hours before the electronics sale opened.
Once the doors opened, the crowd rushed in, some of them making a beeline for limited sale items.
Some of the highlights of the event are the 3DTVs and 3D cameras.
Retailers said a 3DTV costs between S$4,000 and S$6000, and even normal DVDs or Blu-ray discs can be viewed in 3D.
They also said consumers may take some time to get used to 3D products but expect sales to pick up in three to six months.
The electronics sale will end on Sunday and organisers expect some 100,000 people to turn up.
