SINGAPORE : Athletes visiting Singapore during the inaugural Youth Olympic Games will get to see for themselves what public transport means to young Singaporeans.

From Wednesday, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) is displaying the "Youth for Transport" competition's winning art pieces at bus stops and on street structures, including the exteriors of three Circle Line stations.

The most prominent display will be a 18 metre by 12 metre art piece that will be featured on the six-storey high Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway ventilation building off Nicoll Highway.

LTA said the competition attracted more than 3,800 entries. - CNA/ms
