SINGAPORE : Resorts World Sentosa has raised the curtains for its very own theatrical rock circus, Voyage De La Vie.
The show, which took almost three years to complete, premiered on July 2, and has been playing to invited audiences mostly.
Its youngest cast member, 15-year-old contortionist Alexey Goloborodko, said his talent was discovered by accident.
"When I was four years old, I played at home on the floor in a split. My mom (saw) and she sent me to a circus school in Moscow," said Goloborodko.
From Brazil to Belarus, 16 countries are represented among the cast and crew.
"In the very beginning, it was great because there was a little bit of a language issue, which is always fun, because you see that evolve, and you see other cast members beginning to speak English where they hadn't been able to before," said cast members Jarrett & Raja.
Leading the Singapore performers is former Singapore Idol fan favourite Jonathan Leong.
He is confident that Voyage De La Vie will have a little something for everyone.
"It's a great family show and it has a great moral - don't give up, have dreams and have good teachers. And as you learn, you're going to find yourself and get a happy ending - with fireworks," said lead performer Leong.
Fireworks or not, the stunt-a-minute show looks set to deliver.
