SINGAPORE: Marina Bay Sands (MBS) and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) have announced an amicable settlement to a legal dispute over unpaid bills and compensation for a conference, held in May.

In a joint statement, the two sides said the terms are satisfactory to both parties.

As a result, the various suits filed in the Singapore High Court relating to the conference will be discontinued.

The parties said the terms of the settlement are confidential.

Marina Bay Sands said it regrets the unfortunate incidents that affected the IPBA Conference.

Problems included a blackout, jammed lifts, and toilets that could not flush.

The conference was the first to be held at Marina Bay Sands.
