Lui Tuck Yew attends Int'l Architecture Exhibition in Venice

SINGAPORE : Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), Lui Tuck Yew, will attend the 12th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale Di Venezia, in Venice, Italy from Thursday till Saturday.

Singapore will be taking part in the La Biennale di Venezia exhibition for the fourth time.

According to MICA, the Singapore Pavilion will focus on showcasing the successes of Singapore's public housing development and urban planning strategies through an exhibition entitled "1000 Singapores - A Model of the Compact City".

Mr Lui will officiate at the opening of the Singapore Pavilion on Thursday and will meet members of the architectural community and his foreign counterparts.

They will discuss global and Singapore's design developments at the Singapore Architecture Forum that precedes the opening of the Singapore Pavilion.
