SINGAPORE: Two women who were shopping at NTUC FairPrice in Jurong Point Shopping Centre had their handbags stolen on Tuesday.

The thief made away with the handbags which were left in unattended shopping trolleys between 12pm and 1pm.

A 46-year-old housewife who was shopping for groceries lost S$200, RM$50, her hand phone and other personal belongings.

In the second case, a 33-year-old housewife lost her handbag containing S$50, a hand phone and other personal documents.

Police are appealing for information on a woman described as dark-complexioned, slim and short-haired, whom they believed could help with their investigations.

Anyone with information should call the police at 1800-255-000.

The police advise the public not to leave their belongings unattended.
