SINGAPORE: MediaCorp websites won 17 awards in the Hitwise Top 10 Rankings for the first half of this year, with Channel NewsAsia website and the radio homepage keeping the number one spot in their respective categories.
www.channelnewsasia.com was ranked number one in the Entertainment-Television category while www.mediacorpradio.sg topped the ranking in the 'Entertainment-Radio' category.
They have been doing so for the last five consecutive years since the inception of the award.
The 17 awards won by MediaCorp websites include eight in the Entertainment-Radio category and five in Entertainment-Television.
xinmsn.com, the latest pride and joy in MediaCorp's web offering, has also shown outstanding results since its debut in April 2010.
It is now Singapore's number one video site with 397,000 unique users in July (Comscore), ahead of Razortv and Yahoo Singapore videos.
There were more than 1.5 million unique users (Comscore) in July for the portal, making it the number two portal in Singapore surpassing the likes of Asiaone and insing.
The key highlight for the xinmsn video on demand is Catch-Up TV where fans who missed their favourite TV shows can catch them online anytime, anywhere for free!
The Hitwise awards are given out twice a year to the 10 most popular website across 160 categories. The awards are based on popularity according to the market share of user visits to websites in their respective category.
