SINGAPORE : Singapore's Foreign Minister George Yeo, who is a member of the Nalanda Mentor Group, has said Singapore welcomes the passage of the Nalanda University Bill 2010 by the Lok Sabha, the Lower House of the Indian Parliament.
In a statement, he said with this Act passed in the Indian Parliament, Nalanda International University is legally established.
The Mentor Group will then become the Interim Governing Board, which will draw up the statutes and appoint key office bearers to the university.
