Fire breaks out in Toa Payoh flat

SINGAPORE : Fire broke out in a flat in Toa Payoh Lorong 7 on Saturday morning.

SCDF received a call at 11am about a fire at Block 9.

Officers found smoke coming out from the unit and broke down the door to gain entry.

They found a 39-year-old man semi-conscious in the bedroom.

The man, who suffered smoke inhalation, was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

SCDF put out the fire in 10 minutes. - CNA/ms
