SINGAPORE: A Police National Service Special Constable has been charged with endangering the safety of others by pointing a revolver and firing one round at his colleagues.

Twenty-one-year-old Sulaiman Perwira allegedly pointed the weapon at three other NS Special Constables, Lum Zi Hao, Ng Guo Wei and Teaw Zhi Qiang, at the Police Public Transport Security Command at Paya Lebar Road on February 22.

A district court heard that Sulaiman intends to plead guilty to his offence.

If convicted of performing a rash act, he can be jailed up to six months, fined a maximum of S$2,500 or both.
