SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 19-year-old woman believed to be involved in several thefts at the National University Hospital (NUH).

Two victims had their wallets containing cash amounting to S$270, credit cards, an EZ link card and personal documents stolen from their unattended bags.

The suspect was arrested at Whampoa Drive Monday.

Cash amounting to S$124, an EZ Link card, pawnshop tickets and items believed to have been bought with the stolen money and credit cards were found in her possession and seized.

The suspect will be charged in court Wednesday.

If convicted, she faces imprisonment which may extend to three years, or with fine, or both.
